· Flip the grip on it's inner side and using a
sharp knife, cut along the visible seam
between the two metal legs.
· The inside of the rubber will still be attached
in one or two places (where the rubber
passes through holes in the metal spine).
Carefully cut through these rubber nodules
to release the rubber grip from their spine.
· Repeat parts 3 to 5 for the other grip.
· Re-attach the the two grip metal spines with
the eight M4 x 10mm Counter Sunk Screws,
using the T20 Torx Key Wrench.
· Flip the wheel over as shown.
· Attach the rear half of your new grip to
the underside of the metal spine. You
should be able to push the ends onto the
metal so that it remains in place.
· IMPORTANT! Fit each pair of metal pins
provided into the rear grip mounting holes
AFTER the rear grips have been assembled
to your wheel and just BEFORE attaching
the front grip halves. To install two of the
metal pins to each rear grip, just push into
their mounting holes as far as you can, but
don't force them. 4mm or so of the metal
pins will protrude from its mount, this is
fine. The metal pins act as a guide for
assembling the top half of the grips and
adds strength to the grips once screwed
together.
· Attach the front half grip.
· Repeat part 3 and 4 for the other grip
assembly.
· Carefully Flip the wheel onto its front again.
· Screw the two halves together for each grip
using the supplied screws. Start with the
M2.5 x 12mm Long Socket Cap Head screw
first. Using the 2mm A/F Hex Key
(Allen® Key) supplied, attach it to the middle
hole. Next fit the two M2.5 x 20m Long
Socket Cap Head Screws to the top and
bottom holes.
The screw lengths are different so its
important you get these in the right places,
otherwise you may damage the grips.
Please also refer to the photo for the correct
placements.
· IMPORTANT! When screwing the new grips
together make sure the rear grips are
seated into position properly. If they are
not and you try to screw the top half on it
can damage or pull out thread inserts and
NEVER OVER TIGHTEN THE SCREWS.
Tighten them until the uncovered parts of
the grips come together.
· Congratulations! Your installation is now
complete.
